Ready for progress this Year of the Pig?

Many of us acknowledged the arrival of 2019 back in January, however the Chinese New Year has only just begun. According to Chinese Horoscope, 2019 is the Year of the Pig.

The Year of the Pig is an auspicious time to move forward and make progress. It is said that everything the Pig wants to undertake or strengthen is successful this year. With this in mind, it is an exciting year full of possibility.

Pigs are smart, determined and stubborn often unwilling to compromise on what it is they desire. Whilst 2018, the Year of the Dog, was largely associated with a lot of hard work for not much gain, 2019 is really about paving the way forward and making progress.

In terms of health, Pigs have a tendency to become complacent with looking after themselves as they just want to have fun and enjoy themselves. This is the main challenge this year health-wise because in order to stay healthy and well, the Pig must eat a nutritious well-balanced diet, incorporate regular exercise and nourish themselves mentally and physically.

As we approach the cooler months it will be particularly important to slow down, relax and listen to what your body needs rather than just be go, go, go. This ties into self-care, making sure that in the busyness of life you also remember to give to yourself. Noting that self-care is really an act of self-love. When you take time to properly care for yourself, everyone around you benefits.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine your daily habits are what form the foundation of your overall health and well-being, while visits to the clinic support your daily habits and practices. If you are feeling inspired to make some positive changes this year you don't have to do it by yourself.
